Andon systems were developed by Toyota Motor Corporation in the 1950's as a means of keeping assembly lines moving. Workers were expected to pull a cord to activate their andon, alerting supervisors that a problem has occurred and support is needed. Initially the device would illuminate a light on a large board and play a melody.
Go where the andon calls, and your problems will become clear.
Over time, andon systems have grown into powerful data collection tools. Problem areas are easily identified, allowing for focused improvement activities.
Understand the status of your facility's operations in real time. See the data to identify trouble spots and improvement opportunities.
Sentry Andon Systems were specifically designed for rapid installation and minimal maintenance requirements. Installation and setup can be completed by your maintenance team in less than a day.
Customize which stations are active during different shifts. Define shift start, stop, and break times.
Setup and configure process is fast and easy. No programming or skilled maintenance required.
HDMI output allows for real-time data display. See the number of calls and total call time by each station. Active calls display a running clock allowing you to understand how long a process has been having an issue.
A summary report from the prior day can be automatically sent to your leadership team.
Every button press is recorded in a SQL database available for export, letting you complete more complex data analysis outside of the andon system.
